I will still be around to read all the blogs that I love! But just take a break from mine for now!

Till then Jelly Beans!

Me as an M&M Character

Evening all. I have things to blog about, but just not in the mood today. Tomorrow I promise I will get on here and catch everyone up with the daily happenings in my life. Mostly all I have been doing is working and sleeping. Oh yea and chatting with all my lovely gal pals out there.

But I did come across this on Netter's blog and thought I would give it a whirl. I love M&M's.

Here ya go Netter! Me as an M&M character.

Till tomorrow!

My Crafting Space

Evening all. The other day Sue did a little thing on her blog about her crafting space. She got the idea from Lady Linoleum. So I figured I would give you a glimpse into my little crafting world. Now for the other rooms I craft in you have to wait till I get them cleaned up.

Tee Hee

The first lovely picture is where I always sit to crochet/knit. As you can see Rascal just has to be in the picture too. My table holds everything that I could possible need for the current project. There is even a basket in front of the table to hold my yarn in with the stuffing off to the side. What you cant see is the stack of knitting magazines under the table. Back in the far corner is my magazine rack that holds my crochet patterns leaflets.

Next on the block is my lovely cheap drawers on wheels. I picked this up at Wal-Mart and it makes a nice place to put all my extras needed for the
crafting... needles, hooks, pins, stitch markers, wonder knitter, yarn in the bottom three drawers...etc, etc, etc!

Next is the shelves next to my drawers on wheels. On the second shelf down is my lovely knitting books that I have picked up here and there. Also these shelves house the many movies that I love watching while I am knitting/crocheting. Also you will see my ball winder and a sweet little gift from a GREAT Friend!

Ok the way my house is setup is just weird. My clothes closet is in my living room, but it also doubles at my lets hide things from the hubby shelves. hehe Such as... My extra yarn, material for bag linings, exercise stuff that is collecting dust, and whatever else you think you would need or want you probably could find in here. His side of the closet holds all my cross stitch stuff with the one shelf being full of floral stuff for arrangements. On the floor of my side is a huge container full of Red Heart yarn and more baskets with wool in them. Also maybe a kitty from time to time! The shelf above, which is not shown, you will find my sewing machine collecting dust. I do drag it out from time to time, but not like I should.

Last but not least is another basket of yarn. Now this basket is strictly sock yarn. I bought a bunch and sooner or later I will get socks made out of all of it. Also note the two binders next to it. Those are for my patterns that I print online. I have it all divide into
categories. The big one is for crocheting and the smaller one is knitting. The pink yarn on the round table is for another knitted purse that I will be making sometime in the near future. There is also a book marker that another friend made and sent to me. I just love it laying there. Reminds me every day of the great people out there! Also note that Rascal thinks he should be in almost every picture. The nosey butt!

Ok so there is your little glimpse into my crafting world. There is still two other rooms that I craft in and I will maybe one day post them on here. But for the next couple of nights I will be working/knitting/crocheting. Till later.....

Have some Sweet Dreams for me, Jelly Beans!

Easter Egg Booga Bag

Here is something I whipped up real fast like!

Project Specs:

Pattern: "Booga Bag" from Black Sheep Bags

Yarn: Patons SWS in the Natural Pink Color Way

Measurements: Before Felting...
Bag:(body)19"h x 15 1/2"w (bottom)12"w x 6 1/2"h

Straps: 68"

After Felting.....
Bag: 10 1/2" x 9" x 5 1/2"
Straps: 35"

Needles: Addi Turbo size 11 24" circulars

Started: March 24, 2007
Finished: March 31, 2007

This was a super fun knit. Everyone kept calling it my giant Easter Egg... well now you know how I got the title. I love love love how Patons SWS yarn felts. It just comes out perfect, except for the little hair cut that you have to give it. But so worth it in the end!

I did do a couple of things different on this bag. One I used 1/2 size bigger needles. Two I casted on 40 stitches instead of the 34. I made the bottom also taller because the Patons shrink majorly in the height wise. Instead of doing on solid handle and cutting it in half, I did two separate handles. I also used the Wonder Knitter that I picked up at Michaels last Saturday. That was so cool. Took only a couple of hours to make up the I cords!

If you havent made a booga yet, then get to knitting one! You will have fun with the mindless knitting of it!

Later Jelly Beans!
