Saturday Sky & Rockford

Evening all. Today started out by being a pretty foggy, gloomy, and rainy day. Overall it was a beautiful day to do a little drive and some lovely shopping. On this trip I cam across quite a bit of gems. I am just totally thrilled by what I picked up.

First stop was at Unique Yarns. I had to get some Addi Turbo needles in some sizes that I dont have yet. Well actually I have them now...he he! I also picked up a book for my loving, bratty daughter to read, which I am sure she will be letting me have a gander at. Its called "A Deadly Yarn" by Maggie Sefton. A knitting mystery. Now if you have read my blog for a while you know that I love the trashy romance novels. But I need a little change once in a while. This seems like a good change.

After the yarn shop we headed over to the Olive Garden for lunch. I know the other night I mentioned the Harley shop, but hubby decided that he wanted Olive Garden. He had never been there before. I am still stuffed from my lunch and it is almost 10pm here. Wonderful lunch!!

We headed over to Michaels after that where I picked up this really neat thingie ma bob. Its actually called a Wonder Knitter. It makes I cords, which right now everyone knows how much I Hate making. I plan on using this nifty little thing here in the near future. Also I picked up a pattern book called "Dog Gone Cute" from Leisure Arts. I havent quite decided which sweater I will make for Jasmine out of it, but these two pics are my favorties. They are just so Adorable. I have until next fall to get it made. So I have plenty of time to make up my mind.

It was on to Petco. I really dont care for Petco, I think it stinks. I mean really smell bad when you walk into the joint. Grabbed hubby and the kids and we headed over to PetsMart. In there I found a couple of really cute things for the animals in my house. Jasmine got a new puppy bed that we got her. I love this one. It is so cute. She also got a new stuffed squeaky toy that she hides from everyone. Then she will run back and get it and play with it. It is really quite funny. I got Rascal a cuddle sack, but I have a feeling that Jasmine will be using it more than Rascal. Pumpkin got some new treats. Something a little different for his taste buds.

A couple of stores over was a sports
store. There my son needed to get some paint balls. Tomorrow him and some of his buddies are going to have a paint ball war at the park. He should have a blast with this.

Hobby Lobby was next on this little trip. There my daughter got to get a new
sketch book. She got one of the better ones with more pages. Now she will have room for all of her designs.

Then it was a jump across the street to my favorite book store, Barnes & Noble.
There I came across this really nice hardcover book "Victorian Lace Today". You should see some of the patterns in this book. They are just completely gorgeous! I have so much on my list of things to make that it is not even funny. Plus I picked up the new Knitting magazine. This also has gorgeous stuff in that I would love to knit up. We shall see how much I can get accomplished.

I have to work tomorrow morning and then I get to pull an 11-7. Hopefully in between shifts I can get a few hours sleep. Also I finally finished my handles for the Market Square bag on the drive to Rockford. So in between shifts and napping I would love to get this felted. I am getting excited again about this bag! Will have pictures tomorrow hopefully of before and after. Keep your fingers crossed!!!

On that note I am off to bed. Got to get up early tomorrow.

Sweet Dreams Jelly Beans!

Jasmine looks great in her new bed. And that one picture of the puppy in the jacket on on the matching blanket is so adorable! Sounds like you had a great day!

I think your puppy is getting used to being pampered. She has got wind of that camera and is haming it up ! She trips me out! Cool Doggy Duds... Will she have studs or rhinestones on hers? It's nice to have days like that shopping and lunching. Great way to unwind. LOVE that Victorian Book. Very classy!
